[/center]REEIDLAS
"Go tell the world we're coming, just a matter
of belief and space and time
Till we're gonna ride the wind of changes, sail
the seas of this immense millennium"
------------------------------------------------Hello! My name is sorceror. I've been on this planet for 21 years , but I have 9 years of experience. You may know me from Conflicting Rivals. I have no other crazies in this place.
------------------------------------------------
Full Name -- Reeidlas
Nickname -- Reed, Navigator
Age -- 3
Season of Birth -- Fall
Gender -- Male
Sexual Orientation -- Straight/asexual
Class -- Druid
Magics -- Endure Elements
------------------------------------------------
Likes -- the ocean, traveling, birds
Dislikes -- crowds, noise, confusion
Fears -- confined spaces, fire
Strengths -- is extremely tough, can find his way anywhere through anything, and is a fountain of useless knowledge
Weaknesses -- Reed can't fight, can barely cast spells, and is incapable of shutting up. Never take him to a party.
Overall Personality --Reed is a strange one. By himself or in small groups, he is a cheerful, pleasant young wolf, well-educated (as it were), and endlessly talkative. He enjoys a good conversation, a bite to eat, and a long walk on the beach.
However, with too many other wolves around, he becomes nervous, extremely quiet, and very shy. Reed dislikes crowds - in fact, he is almost afraid of them, as if he might catch some kind of mob mentality and begin living in one place.
He values his freedom above all else, and is proud of himself and his abilities. These talents are, as it happens, nothing to overlook. Reed is a very skilled navigator - he can find his way anywhere, with no apparent effort, as long as he walks far enough. His greatest aspiration is to cross the sea one day and discover other land. Reed actually might manage this, if he tries hard enough. How he will do it he isn't sure, but he intends to try.
Reed is in love with the ocean, and obsessed with birds, and believes the stars and sun are gods. His respect for natural forces borders on reverence, as one would expect from a druid. He composes poetry fairly often as a side hobby.
Unfortunately, Reed is rather inept socially, and has a great many physical shortcomings. Tough he might be, and clever, and reasonably friendly - but he can't fight to save his life. In fact, Reed almost refuses to engage in battle, preferring to dissapear into the background when things become violent. And then there's the fact that he refuses to go near large group, and is afraid of being in caves or dens. Plus he barely speaks, and when he does it is in a manner that is so archaic it is difficult to understand.
------------------------------------------------
Fur Color -- Brown/black/blue
Eyes -- Yellow
Height -- 2 ft. 9 in.
Weight -- 110 pounds
Mutations -- Poison (teeth)
Overall Appearance --Reed is a small, light-boned, almost feminine-looking young wolf. He is reasonably handsome, if a bit worse for wear, although not especially noteable for his appearance. He is rapidly aging, a result of his constant travels, and appears to be somewhat older than he actually is. His frame is lean and muscular.
His pelt is fairly normal in color for a wolf, black and grey and and orangey russet, mixed along his ruff with shades of blue. This causes him to be better at blending into the background than most, which is fortunate for him.
Reed's most noteably physical feature is a mask-like blue marking on his face. This resembles nothing in particular, although he states that where he comes from the color and pattern signify the east wind. This is not hard to imagine, athough it does not appear to mean anything significant to him.
Either luck or genetics has gifted Reed with a poisonous bite. While not lethal, the poison does cause numbness and and slight hallucinations. He uses it mainly for his own defense, in the hope that threatening to poison someone will cause them to not attack him.
------------------------------------------------
Birth Pack -- None, loner
Overall History --Reed was born to a pair of loners who lived by the ocean. His parents met each other while they were very young, and became fast friends and then lovers. He had a brother, a twin, named Heros, identical to himself. The two were extremely close - in fact, they could seemingly read each other's minds. Eventually it became apparent that Heros could, and had been, speaking to his brother with his mind, and that his brother was also gifted with a magical talent. This appeared at first to merely be an uncanny ability to avoid being cold, or wet. Then one day when he and his brother were young they wandered too close to the surf. Reeidlas managed to rescue his brother from drowning, seemingly by suddenly breathing water.
His parents, both warriors, were completely confused by their sons' abilities. Fortunately his father knew a 'wizard', who was in fact merely a bard. Reed and Heros were sent to study magic with this stranger, who taught them some bits of poetry, and tricks for reading the stars and the wind, and small observations of birds, but no magic.
This did no bother Reed much. He became enamored with traveling, and spent much of his time as he grew older wandering the forests and the waterline, thinking of other lands. Heros was more powerful, and much more interested in learning to manipulate the elements around him. This was his downfall. One day, Heros set the trees on fire. Reed did what he could, and rescued his brother again, but the other wolf had breathed in too much smoke. Reed did his best to heal him. Despite his efforts, Heros's eyes were scarred over, and his lungs, and his twin brother could do nothing about it with all his knowledge of plant-lore.
One day, as the two brothers were scraping out an existence on the sea-shore, a young warrior appeared out of the ocean with no knowledge of her name or where she had come from. Reed thought she must have been in a great battle due to her injuries, and healed her as best as he knew how. The brothers named her Eiras. Slowly, surely, Reed watched his blind brother fall in love with the female warrior, and knew his time with his best friend was short. Reed still loved the wilds, and wandering, and the wind from the sea. Heros, however, began to rely on Eiras as his eyes, the way he had once trusted Reed.
At the time in his third year that Eiras bore his brother's sons, Reed decided it was time to move on. The spring was coming and he began to wonder what there was to find on the other side of the forest and mountains. He took leave of his twin and Eiras and turned northwards, searching for adventures and strange countries..
