Pups are a little bit different and quite special on Stars. They are prized, loved and sometimes used as bargaining chips to get what others, namely family members want. In some packs, such as the Asindri, class is chosen from birth and arranged marriages are not uncommon at all. While puppies are cute and adorable, they take just as much upkeep as an adult character so think long and hard before adopting one. They are rewarding and fun but it is always sad to see a pup go inactive. Below is the stages of a pup as well as how they age.[/b]
AGING
RL Month 1
All pups are born at the beginning of a season to keep this simple. During this first month, a player is to play them between 3 and 6 months of age. At the end of the month, they are officially 6 months old.
RL Month 2
At the end of this month, your pups are 1 year old.
RL Month 3
At the end of the month, your pup is 1 year and 6 months old.
RL Month 4
At the end of the month, your pup is 2 years old and now an adult to go by regular aging.
LIFE CYCLE
Birth
A pup is born blind and deaf. They are entirely dependent on their mother and can not leave the den. All they know if the milk their mother gives them, her warmth and the prescience of their siblings if there are any.
10 - 13 days Old
Eyes and ears are now open but the pups are still largely defenseless, relying completely on their mother. Mobility is still limited.
3 weeks old
Becoming a little more curious, pups wander around the den though Mom does not let hem outside yet.
4 -5 weeks old
Short trips outside of the den are possible and meat is first tasted.
6 -8 weeks old
Pups can travel up to a mile with an adult wolf but tire easily. Pups are weaned.
12 weeks old
Pups accompany adult wolves on hunts and begin to learn though are kept far out of harms way.
15 - 28 weeks old
Milk teeth are replaced though meat has been their full diet for some time now.
7 - 8 months old[/u]
Pups begin to fully hunt with the pack. Exploration of classes is not uncommon in this stage.
1 year old[/u]
Pups choose their class if it has not been chosen for them.
1 year, 6 months old[/u]
Pups will begin to have love interests and can court another, though breeding is not possible until adulthood.
2 years old[/u]
The pup is now an adult and full member of the pack. They may breed, hold a rank or leave the pack if they so choose.[/size][/blockquote]
