Orion sat in what he and Ankaa used as the meeting room of their pack, a look a disgust on his face as the Asindri messenger made his way out of the room. It was all Orion could do to stop himself from attacking and ripping the other wolfs throat out. Still, The Asindri were coming to gather prey from the Dan'ales land and take it to their own. 'Tribute' they called it. Theivery was more like it, taking the sparse prey from the forest the surrounded The Urnaso ruins. "I hope you get lost in the Irin, Asindri scum" He muttered as the messenger finally left the room and Orion trusted himself to stand and leave. He would remember the message, he remembered everything he ever saw or heard. It was as much a curse as it was a gift. Still, for now his memory was his best weapon against those that said they ruled over all. He remembered each mistake they made, everything he saw, each false word they spoke about him.
Making his way up the ramp and to Ankaa's tower room, he shook his head and sighed. The two of them had a very..odd mateship to say the least. Both of them hated the Asindri, that was true, but they didnt seem to fully trust each either as well. Sure, Orion knew each and every one of Ankaa's shortcomings, while she had trouble remembering how old he was when he came to the Dan'ale, but that wasnt the point. "Ankaa, we need to talk!" Orion called out as he approached.

Calm blue eyes watched a smallish figure leave their home. Her eyes were ever watchful and didn't miss much but she also knew from her tower that this wolf was not of her family, not one of her kind. He was a gray coated creature, unremarkable in any way except that he stood for the Asindri, a pack of murderous, deceitful creatures. She sighed, wondering what they could possibly want now as that would be the only reason for a messenger such as himself coming all that way. The Dan'Ale had given so much to the Asindri already from man power to food and resources. They were on their last legs...and the Asindri knew it. It was in this way that they kept Dan'Ale and all other packs for that matter from rising up and taking back their freedom. Her tail twitched in aggravation as she knew she would soon go to figure out what they had come for this time.
Shaking her coat free of dust, her jewelry jingling with the movement, it was not long before the small wolf heard the sound of hurried pawsteps coming up half ruined stairs. These stairs led to her tower room where she kept all of the little baubles of her pack, hidden safely away from the Asindri. She herself protected the people's treasures for they knew that she was just and kind and would never betray them. She was their blood and that, is thicker than the water that ran through the veins of the Asindri. Turning from her window, she faced the remnants of the door where Orion would be coming through shortly. I'm in here. What is it? she replied down the corridor. She knew what her...mate wanted. To tell her of why the wolves of hell were at their door for this time. She sat and waited for him. While it was true that they were mated, there would never be full trust on either side..not for now anyway.[/blockquote]

Orion walked into the room and noticed a new crystal on the wall right away. It had been added within the last few days, seeing as Orion had been up here only four days before. Still, that wasnt what he was here for, he needed Ankaa to be on the same page as him. They were a good team, tending to work together and agree on a lot when it came to the Asindri. But now, Orion could read Ankaa well, and she knew it. She also knew that whatever she told him, he would remember. And that was what irked her the most. "Well, I see someone added a new crystal to the collection, very nice." He said, attempting to calm himself down, and failing.
With a Sigh, Orion sat on his hunches and turned his sky blue eyes on Ankaa. "The Asindri want their tribute, and we dont have enough prey for them as well as out pack. For once, I dont know what to do." Orion said, his eyes never leaving Ankaa's own. He needed to see her reaction, to see if he was overreacting or not. He needed to hear he idea, listen to her voice to sooth himself.

Ankaa watched quietly as Orion came through the door. He was larger than her, this was true, but that wasn't saying much. She was a tiny creature with oh so much power and most under estimated that. She bowed her head slightly to her mate, a sign of respect, for whatever that was worth. As he mentioned the crystal that was brought to her a few days before, her crystalline gaze turned to the bauble. The family that had recently joined their numbers had brought it with them, and along with harboring them from the Asindri, she protected their worldly possessions. It was a shiny thing, a sphere that glowed with the time of day. It show brightest at the witching hour, green at that time. It was an interesting piece but there were others that more captured her interests. But what most had those wandering thoughts was the wolf that sat in front of her and what was going on.
Turning her head back to Orion, she listened to his words and a worried state spread through her core.It was true that they barely had enough food to support their own families. she began to pace, losing her slender control over her magic, largely her air walk. She floated above the ground as she walked,d just ever so slightly. "I don't know exactly what we're going to do but we will have to send the hunters out...perhaps we can force some of the prey down from the ice flats...it is our only option to feed all of our stomachs..." she said quietly, looking back out of the glassless window. There was hope beyond the peaks and her heart could feel it. She just had to find a way to survive first.[/blockquote]

Orion nodded as she spoke, knowing her plan might work. But he had another idea, one that would possibley take some of the Asindri hunters and warriors out as well as save the little prey the Dan'ale had left within their borders. A small smile crossed his lips as he remembered his run in with a group of bears only a week before. He had stumbled acrossed their home and had to cast Mislead to get away from them. He already knew the Asindri were weary to enter the forest Dan'ale had create their pack within, but that would be used to their advantage. And Orion knew it. "There is another way." He said.
Orion walked over to the broken stone counter in the middle of the room. Upon it was a crudely drawn map of the area, left there by someone ages ago. Ankaa had found it when she began to store the packs valuables in the tower, and Orion used it ever since. He had been wandering around the land to match the map with his memory, and he had a pretty good idea on where the bears were. "There's a group of bears in the northern part of the forest. We can send the Asindri there, and allow them to deal with the bears. IF they kill the bears, we wont have to worry about them." Orion said, before turning and facing Ankaa, and dark smile on his face. "And If the Bears kill them, well, that would be a shame wouldnt it?"

as she paced, her mind raced, trying to find a way out of the corner that the Asindri had backed them into. For so many years she had been under their paw and watchful eyes and anger had grown in her soul. Burning, twisting, hacking, gnawing at her heart until there was no more compassion for anything outside of her home. Slowly, she reined in her emotions and came back down to earth. She could not let those twisted creatures effect her so but she could not help but to think that sometimes they did what they did just to see the other packs squirm under their claw. The thought didn't do anything for them in her eyes. she quirked an eyebrow up at Orion when he said he had another idea. She followed him to the table, a bit wary about what he was about to suggest.
Still seemingly floating on air, she gazed at the map and listened to what he thought. Could he possibly be more arrogant or stupid in his thinking? Surely the Asindri would figure out what they had done and it would be the death of them all but there was a part of her that wanted them to be the ones to squirm. With a sign she closed her eyes for a moment. " If we can send them down to the south, they'd be pinned against the lake and be forced to swim it's width or face the bears. Either way is a prospect." she replied to the other black wolf. It was a crazy idea, but it jsut might work.[/blockquote]
