The summer sun beat down on the Eusky Hills. They stood proud against it sheltering the few that dare to live here. One such brave soul was crossing back into her packs lands. The gypsy wolf Zelia padded into her home, breathing in the familiar air. Just to add to it she squatted to mark her return and to reinforce the pack boarders. Finished she eagerly kicked out a few times before trotting up the mountain, picking up her paws high in the air. It was such a beautiful day. She was like the bit of sun in the dark pack of Iania. Of course the bard was in high spirits. She has spotted a small herd of deer heading their way. Joy should flourish through the pack, and of course since she was spinning tales left and right to the Asindri, she was sure the herd would make a nice home here.
The Asindri. Her old pack of slave runners. She snorted to herself at the thought of them. They were killing the land. A thing that she would never allow them to do any longer. Zelia was a rebel to say the least and she was tired of the tyranny. As a free spirit she should be free to do as she pleased, well in her head she should. Her Alpha here allowed it so it should be so. Alpha's shouldn't bow to other packs, of course she knew her mysterious alpha would do anything to keep them safe. And she drove the rumor that he has a team of necromancers on his side. Naughty of her but if it kept the Asindri at bay that was fine. She wondered what the other packs would say if they offered them meat? Probably take over. That was subject for the alpha's to decided anyways.
At the top of the highest hill, Zelia stood proud of their world. The world just had a way of making one look and feel so small. Sucking in a breath, with her chest squared, and regal head high she howled into the distance. The sound carried by the wind over the territory alerted all of the Iania wolves of her presence. So far no beast had an issue with her past. They found her free loving ways fun and her stories and tales enjoyable, at least for the most part. Her howl finished she grinned and plopped her tail to the ground to throw a few scratches to her silver tipped ear. There were a few calls but the social butterfly hoped that she would soon be greeted by one of her members. The she wolf lolled her tongue and waited. It would be great if her Alpha Blight would show up for she had news for him of the deer. They should get a hunting party ready and be prepared to scare off the Asindri if they were close enough to witness any hunting going on.
Gypsy self ready she waited for some wolf to pop their head out and say hello.

Zelia cocked her head to the side. Her Alpha should be here by now. Where the God's was he? The young she wolf stood her mind reeling. Worried that despite her warnings the Asindri had gotten into the pack and killed him. Fast steps padded forward. Ears forward and alert. She dashed over the hills. It would only take her a few minutes to get the heart of their territory. When she burst through to the dens she found that the pack was a mess. There were snarls and growls and fighting, everyone battling for dominance.
With a snarl, she leaped on top of the leaders rock and sent forth an earsplitting howl. The chaos stopped all eyes looked to her. They would turn on her if she did not keep them at bay. She shook her head and sighed, "guys the heck are we fighting our dark brother's and sister's for?"
The whirl of sound nearly knocked her back a few feet. Though the she wolf got the gist of it all. Blight had backed down from the Alpha position. They were fighting for who was to be a new leader since the Alpha didn't have an heir. Gulping Zelia nodded shell shocked. The Alpha while not kind to other's to his pack he was one of a kind. She bowed her head and prayed to the Gods they guide his path wisely. Silence greeted her ears as she realized everyone was staring at their gypsy wolf, the tension great. Though she could feel them all make a decision. There was only one wolf amongst thieves that they could ever trust.
A few whispered to each other and the only way these wolves knew how to agree they shot her cocky grins with nods. Zelia sighed and then smiled happily back, "alright if we have no objections then my minions we shall become the richest pack of the lands. As your leader I shall see to it. Now though, we should lay down some rules so no more . . . chaos happens."
She stood and leaped down in front of her new pack. In her mind she couldn't help but think what was she getting herself into. A once Asindri turned the Dark Iatia Queen, she was almost setting herself up to fail, though something told her that if she stayed herself she would help take the lands and rise them to the top. Pleasant grin on her face she started walking from side to side, not able to sit still for too long.
"Ground rules my brothers and sisters, Iatia is our sanctuary a place where we can not feel threatened. While others we exploit, to ourselves we stay true. Punishment of harming a brother or sister of darkness is death, your corpse cursed to guard our borders. Any wolf caught going to the other three packs, with ANY news of our pack, punishment is the lose of your dew claws. Pack meets and hunts are mandatory, any wolf not present may suffer a loss of rank. While war may not be upon us yet, any Asindri must not be allowed to enter our lands. They stop at the boarders or face one of you lovely necromancers. If they are found chase them off. They want riches and jewels we'll not let them know we have them. There maybe allies in Elmor or Dan'ale packs, for now while at war be that they not enter our lands but if you spot them, seek conversation; it's good to know who may or may not have our backs in this crucial time. WOLVES OF IATIA our new motto is; 'live like the shadows, talk like poison, and walk with mystery.'" her voice rang out clearly and softly and held promise behind it. While she had to be cruel she knew that she would add more rules as they went. For now that seemed good enough.
With a quick jump she was back on top of the leaders rock. Her tail now held high and chest out, she threw her head to the sky and howled her leader's call. Powerful it called to the others and soon the whole of Iatia joined in with her. It was done the lands were now hers to protect and keep safe. She sat and watched her minions go about their days. She would work tomorrow on who got what pack position. For now, she would let them mull over what had happened. She herself would go into the Alpha's den to claim it as hers.
