His name was Lars Darsha the III. This was his name. His legacy, a name he would have to live up too. Darsha looked to the daylight sky. She wind blowing through his fur as if it where silk. His muscles and veins bulging out of his legs and chest. Darsha took a deep breath as he neared the border of a pack he wasn’t entirely familiar with. He never wanted to be in a pack before. But he felt a need to belong lately. To be useful to someone. Someone he could at least protect. Darsha kept moving and stopped at the border… mesmerized. “Have no fear.” He said to himself. He wanted to howl but something kept him from doing so. And it was fear itself. And darsha hated being afraid to things such as this. So darsha just stood and waited for himself to build up the will to move forward.

OoC: He can't hear Squirt talk. Unless he has commune with Animals, it's only Zelia who can talk with him. A small quail whistled his call through the quiet forest. Soon a few other birds chipped in. The proud little beast fluffed his feathers with happiness. The morning chorus was soon in effect and it was all because of him. The Alphess's companion Squirt flitted from tree to tree. If his Miss Zelly was the leader he could do his part in keeping the birds on alert. They would alert him and he would fly to alert Zelia. Who was probably sleeping. Just promoted leader she was still not used to rousing herself. The diligent little bird huffed he would wake her soon after he was done flying around the boarders. A red cardinal flashed by and flitted next to him on a branch. He understood. A wolf was at the boarders.
The red bird flew off with Squirt tearing off after him. The two landed in a tree keeping quiet. The quail peered down at the wolf. He wasn't a part of the Iatia pack that the bird knew of. He wanted a closer look but decided to tell his friend to keep a watch on the wolf and to alert him if the black wolf decided to trespass. Miss Zelly made it perfectly clear that there were to be no trespassers allowed. The quail took off as fast as his wings could carry him towards the dens, towards the Alpha.
He flew right into the dug out den. Zelia was there curled up peacefully, twitching in her sleep. Squirt sighed at the sight. Girl was definitely a different sort of wolf. He put himself on her nose and decided to get the wake up call started. In a shrill call he whistled. A low pitch then a high pitch. All Zelia did was bat at her nose and roll over. "Nooooo, I gotta get da deer . . . food.
Squirt sighed, "Miss Zelly there is a wolf waiting at the boarders you need to rise and meet them"
Zelia finally flopped her head and blinked sleepily the words slurred, "I hate you sometimes, just tell them to give me another hour."
'I'm afraid that's not possible my friend you must rise, he could be Asindri," Squirt gave a another shrill chirp that caused Zelia to get up.
"Fine, oh Gods, fine. Don't expect me to be all sunshine and daisy's to him Squirt," she yapped at the birds retreating figure and padded out of her den.
The Alphess stretched and rolled her shoulders the shook her soft summer coat out. Summer was one of her favorite seasons. Especially in the mountains while winter was frigid and hard the summer's were mild and even. They even had different seasons, all in all the she-wolf was proud to call the Noc Mountain range her home. Plus Iatia being what they were it made the mountains seem that much deadly. Squirt was chirping for her to hurry and she set off in a brisk pace.
Pulling in the early shadows the she wolf slowed her pace and crept forward. She noticed the wolf. He was huge wolf two feet taller than she. Except the deceptively small female grinned he also had a pretty face. Maybe he would be of use to the pack, his size was sure intimidating. Silent she walked forward. Should she wait for him to howl or appear before him. As always with Zelia she used her air walk to lift herself up onto a low branch. Laying down so her tail draped down and her paws were crossed she dropped her shadows and let the dramatics begin.
"Welly welly well! What have we here? A wolf brave enough to seek out Iatia. I find myself wondering, where does he come from? Why is he here? At least he's polite so I shall give him chance to speak, what say you wolf. Are you friend or enemy?" she laughed in the tree. Relaxed and waiting for the wolf to speak his turn.

Darsha closed his eyes and thought of what to say when he howled for a wolf on the other side. His personality was so complicated it was hard to figure out. He didn’t want to come off to strong and seem like an ass hole. He didn’t want to seem soft and weak like an omega. He wanted to be at least in middle. Darsha opened his eyes and caught sent of another wolf. He inhaled the sent and spoke silently to himself. “Female… 3 to 4 years of age.” He spoke silently to himself. Darsha could always tell things about a wolf he couldn’t see just by their sent. Ever since the bear attack and his eyes sometimes blurred his sense of smell was heightened.
Darsha scanned the forest with a suspicious eye. He knew the wolf was there, it was a matter of where and what she was doing. She could try to sneak up on him. But he doubted it. Unless it was a pup or an ambush it was unlikely. "Welly welly well! What have we here? A wolf brave enough to seek out Iatia. I find myself wondering, where does he come from? Why is he here? At least he's polite so I shall give him chance to speak, what say you wolf. Are you friend or enemy?" darsha heard her voice and got a lock on her location. He closed his eyes again and sighed to himself. Moment of truth finally here. He then spoke with a mixture of two voices, half gentle, half demented. “ I come from, a place far from here, I am here for acceptance… a home. My name is Lars Darsha the III. And as of right now, I am your friend.” He finished with a gentler voice. It sounded decent to him. He didn’t want to impress this wolf with vocabulary or his muscles. He just wanted… well, a home.

(sorry this is slow going; I might have to do short posts from here on, let me know if I'm killing your muse rather than helping.) A loner seeking a home. Interesting, her ears pricked finding truth in the dark words. The Asindri would be pissed if she brought one into their ranks, perfect. Grinning, she stood on her branch and leaped down flapping her wings a bit to hover before touching to the ground. Squirt flew to the branch where she once lay. Ready to sound for help should there need be. Zelia's crystalline eyes locked on to his white ones. The grin faded and she then went into alpha mode. Not that it mattered this wolf was about two feet taller than she. There was no way he could show submissiveness to her form other than diverting his eyes from her. She didn't break her eye contact from his and would wait to see if he would submit to her. The dark grey Alphess needed loyal wolves, not ones that didn't respect her. She circled him jewels jingling as she did so. He was strong. The pack could use him but as strong as he may be she needed to test his loyalty and integrity. Wolves don't just come into the Iatia and then be let free with all their secrets if they decided the pack wasn't for them. If he was to become an Iatia wolf he would have to commit or turn away now. For once in her boarders it was do or die. She came back around and sat in front of him her back towards her lands.
"A home you have found, but is it for you? These hills and mountains are said to have the darkest of wolves. Necromancers who raise demons to do their bidding, rouges who would rather slit your throat than speak to you. And I," Zelia gave him a serious look, though inside she felt this was hilarious. Never had she thought she would be greeting members at the boarders as leader, "am their Alphess. These woods are my home, my lands, and my secrets. I shall not open them without testing you. I must see who you truly are. Tell me wolf, what do you have to offer us?"

Darsha didn’t flinch when the female’s eyes met his. But he did feel strange under her gaze. For one his eye color was a little off, not very impressive. And another because he was a little taller than her. Darsha blinked and tried to work a smile and all it did was come out crocked. "A home you have found, but is it for you? These hills and mountains are said to have the darkest of wolves. Necromancers who raise demons to do their bidding, rouges who would rather slit your throat than speak to you. And I," darsha wanted to burst out laughing. Slit his throat? With what? Their fangs? They would have to get close for that and that wouldn’t be the best idea for them. Darsha may not know magic but he could fight. And he would do so without mercy… especially to save his or someone else’s life. Darsha looked her in the eyes. "am their Alphess. These woods are my home, my lands, and my secrets. I shall not open them without testing you. I must see who you truly are. Tell me wolf, what do you have to offer us?" darsha blinked and tried to think. What could he offer her that wouldn’t scare her away. He knew no magic and he unfortunately had a few defects like sometimes throwing up blood but other than that he was very strong fast and stealthy. Not to mention he was a fighter. Darsha replied to the alpha with more of a gentle tone this time. “I sadly don’t know magic nor any other arts. However I am a… rather good fighter, and I’m pretty fast and strong. I could offer protection to those who seek it. And to those who need it.” Darsha looked the wolf into the eyes suspecting her to lunge at him. Darsha hunched himself a bit staring her down. She did say she needed to test him. And it would most likely be a pop quiz.

Zelia narrowed her eyes at black and white males's scrutiny. Was he judging her size? Judging her? Where was Hush when she needed the wily beta? He would summon an army of undead at her command and scare the ever living into the male. She would not have her rank be challenge and narrowed her eyes into his. Her tail and ears erect and proudly held. By God she had earned her respect here and would not have this wolf tell her other wise. Squirt chirped in her ear. Telling her to listen to the males words. 'He may not be used to pack etiquette, Miss Zelly. He may have been walking a loner for a while.'
Zelia flared her nostrils. She had had pack etiquette beaten into her, until she was set free into Iatia. The gypsy wolf traveled and met many loners. Of course in the loner lands anything went so went with it was chaos. You had to either talk fast to get what you wanted or not talk at all. She listened to his words and saw him crouch down. Fine she'd take it but she spoke a little more cooly, "we offer protection from the Asindri wolves. They don't come here so loners are usually safe. Call me Zelia, the gypsy. Your strength is commendable and notable. But I need to know you will follow my lead and trust that you aren't here to claw me in the back, Lars Darsha III. The lands are thick with tension and distrust. You must know that once you join this pack there is no backing out. If you give me reason, any reason at all to think you are a spy, I will not hesitate to kill you. That is how strongly we feel about trust. You may join, but you are under trail. We'll see you you really are."
Zelia hated the death threat card. She never wanted to put a wolf to death at all, she wished the world could be respectful to one another and be able to give wolves the benefit of the doubt. But she had to be Iatia's leader and let loners know that this pack and their secrets were not to be thrown about to other packs. She softened her eyes at Darsha, as Squirt flew from the branches and landed on her head. The proud blue and brown bird dipped his head in greeting to Darsha fluffing his wings. She sent the black and white wolf a small smile, welcoming him.

Darsha smiled when he saw the bird land on the females head. He had seen this before; he knew just about all the magic and different ability’s, and this was one he was familiar with. But he was still on spotlight. The whole spy thing left him a bit ticked. Why the hell would he be a spy? If he was here to kill her it would have already been done, but Lars left that life. Forever, if he was going to kill. It was going to be for her, he narrowed his gaze on the female and spoke once more, one good reason Hu, well zel, I’m afraid o don’t have one, I’m not a spy but I am an assassin, at least I was until… well, that doesn’t matter, remember when I said weather we were friends or enemies depended entirely on you, well it still dose. You’ll just have to trust me, but trust isn’t given, it is earned, trust is easy to destroy but takes time to build. And I understand that the knowledge of me being an assassin doesn’t better your situation here but it’s a start, because if I was a spy, I wouldn’t have said anything.” He said this with nothing but truth. He wasn’t a spy but there was still no escaping his past.
